Who we are

FrameScale Properties Consultancy ("FrameScale", "we") is the data controller for personal data collected through this website. We intend to register with the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner (ODPC) as required by the Data Protection Act, 2019 and its regulations.

What we collect

Details you give us: name, email, phone number, messages, viewing and consultation requests, and property details when you list with us.

Tenant referencing data, only when you apply for a property: identity document, proof of income and a previous landlord reference. We collect this with your consent and only for the application.

Technical data: pages viewed and device type, collected only if you accept analytics cookies.

Why we use it

To answer enquiries, arrange viewings and consultations, prepare leases and manage properties (performance of a contract or steps before one).

To meet legal duties, including tax records and estate agency client-account rules (legal obligation).

To improve the site, with your consent for analytics.

We do not sell personal data, and we do not use it for automated decisions that significantly affect you.

Who we share it with

Landlords or tenants on the other side of a transaction, only as needed to complete it.

Service providers who host the site, send email or store files for us, under written contracts.

Authorities where the law requires it.

If data is transferred outside Kenya (for example to a cloud host), we do so only with the safeguards the Act requires.

How long we keep it

Enquiries: up to 24 months after our last contact. Lease and accounting records: as long as tax and estate agency law requires. Referencing documents: deleted once the application is decided, unless a lease is signed.

Your rights

You can ask to be informed, to access, correct or delete your data, to object to its use, and to data portability. Email us and we'll respond within the time the Act allows.

You can also complain to the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner (odpc.go.ke).
